Watch Beyonce's newest video "Ring the Alarm" here!

http://music.yahoo.com/ar...os--Beyonc

This is the song they say is about Rhianna and Jay-Z.

I like the song, but feel the video could have depicted the concept much better. sad

Well? What do you guys think?

I like the homage to Basic Instinct, but I don't like that she presents herself as psycho.

I guess she killed her cheating man, but it would have been interested to show that murder or at least show her man and the mistress.

Who put together this storyline for the video? It sucks. (but I still love Beyonce wink )

Thumbs down to the video.

Too much thrashing around and the rip-off of Sharon Stone's Basic Instinct was lame.

and must she be on her knees in everyone of her video?? neutral

Beyonce just tries too hard. She is so extra with everything and that's a turn off for me. Must everything about her be over the top-weave, dancing, singing, clothing, etc. Sometimes less is more. shrug

Beyonce has always been just TOO everything for my taste. This is another example. I heard the song has been getting very poor responses so its been pulled as the second single and the Neptunes song might be next.

I just watched with a friend and it really is quite horrendous. Sidebar: When did she become so pale looking?

Beyonce, if you see another chick on his arm, just let him go. Really. hug

I read a story that she had kinda of a nervous breakdown when she was 17. It seems that a boy that she was....."crazy in love with",(pun intended) broke her heart and that took her out for awhile. Some of the songs that she has made since then, are said to be based on that experience. (Me Myself & I, Crazy in Love, Through with love,). I saw it when I was overseas, a few months ago. Her mom and dad try to keep it public.

I don't know how true it is but.... To me, she is a talent. She knows what sells and yes, she can be "over the top at times, but like Mariah and Patti...she'll learn. Deja Vu.....runs circles around that Janet Jackson number.I hope that Janet is watching her back. I would have never chosen that song as a first single....it is boring!!!

Video was blah. I could have gotten with the Basic Instinct theme if:

a) she wasn't in every other frame flipping her hair around her head like a stripper

b) she wasn't posing and stretching and crap in the rest of the video

and

c) there was an actual story line to tie into the BI theme other than the police interrogation room scene.

A very....different single coming from someone like Beyonce. The response to this one's gonna be kinda interesting.

Like some of the Basic Instinct references. But oddly enough, she kinda resembled Tina Turner in a lot of those shots...

Everything about this song is confusing, but the video is not helping, once again its Beyonce in 40 different outifits snapping her neck around. I wish just once her head would pop straight off as a special effect. With that said, this song, even if its not about the whole Rihanna/JayZ rumours, its at least made to capitalize on that rumour, though im sure Beyonce will deny that, its the same deal as whne Justin did cry me a river. And also whats with the Basic Instinct part, i think it was just a way for Beyonce to show some Leg, hey not complaining just call it what it is.

THANK YOU! highfive Beyonce overdoes it. I forget the name of that video she made, I think it was "Baby Boy" when she did those dances where she was jolting her neck side to side. It was supposed to be a bellydance but she looked SO FUCKING STUPID. disbelief

From Vibe.com: http://www.vibe.com/news/...ibe_com/

Here's what Beyonce's says about the video:
"I want to personally respond to the report on Vibe.com about my next single, 'Ring The Alarm.' I am very proud of this song and I believe the video is one of the best I have ever done. eek I am excited about its premiere on Yahoo today, Wed, Aug 16th. It's energetic, aggressive and filled with hard beats and I can't wait for my fans to see it. I always believed this would be a powerful song. eek My thoughts about releasing 'Green Light' and 'Get Me Bodied' was to go first to the international market, but the vibrancy of 'Ring The Alarm' is something I wanted the whole world to see and hear right now. 'Green Light' and 'Get Me Bodied' are definite single contenders, but right now it's all about 'Ring The Alarm.'"

Delusion is so sad. sad

well, this is different for her. I think I prefer the angry Beyonce.
I'm not going to speculate about her private life, but I find her pretty convincing as a "scorned woman."

I like the ending with the lip-sticked grin.
