Why doesn't Rhino Records continue their "Smooth Grooves" CD compilations? For fans of Old School R&B slow jams, these CDs are essential.I bought every volume. There are some incredible songs on these CDS and many of them are hard-to-find elsewhere ("Magic Man" by Robert Winters and Fall, for example),but why did they stop? There are numerous other songs that could be used on future volumes. Some of these songs are obvious choices, some are rare, harder to find tracks.... "Best Of My Love" by T-Connection (1982) "Livin' For Your Love" by Melba Moore (1984) "I Just Love The Man" by the Jones Girls (1980) "I Just Want To Satisfy You" by the Ojays (1982) "Sparkle" by Cameo (1979) "Close The Door" by Teddy Pendergrass (1978) "Love Makin' Music" by Barry White (1980) "Keepin' Love New" by Howard Johnson (1982) "Off And On Love" by Champaign (1984) "Wanna Be With You" by Earth Wind and Fire (1981) "Here We Go" by Minnie Riperton and Peabo Bryson (1980) "Stay With Me" by Debarge (1983) "You Sure Love To Ball" by Marvin Gaye (1973) "Ebony Eyes" by Rick James and Smokey Robinson (1983) "Feel Me" by Cameo (1980) "Livin' It Up" by Bill LaBounty (1980) "Cry Together" by the Ojays (1978) what other songs can y'all come up with?

I don't know!!!! I bought every one of those comps and now I can't find them anymore to replace the ones I lost. I love the Jazzy Soul ones, particularly the one with my fav version of Valentine Love on it.

There's a budget label in the U.K. called Union Square Music whom release a lot of Rare Groove collections, under their "Sessions" imprint. You usually find them in the local supermarket and they're very, very good.
Here's the catalogue: http://www.unionsquaremus...LABEL_ID=6 They release a new collection at the rate of one a month. It's not all Rare Groove, but it's always urban music of some sort. A lot of the time, the (hard to find) extended 12" mixes are featured.
