Q Tip with D'angelo "I believe" who heard it?

That shit is a funky Dillaesque percussive and synth heavy groove with some chicken grease hypnotic rhythm guitar figure and of course you know who on the background vocal harmonies.

So the white labels keep coming for "Gilles" for this record? Looks like it's coming out this fall.

Sounds interesting. Your description, I mean. So has this been released or leaked?

Personally, I could do with a different sounding, harder beat, and more in-your-face-synths, would funk things up a bit. A little too repetitive, too. Still a good one as it is, IMO.

I guess it's off the shelved "Open" album which may go on the "Live at the Renaissance" project. But who knows for sure.

So the answer is find the Q Tip "open" album on the net and you will have this one. Here's one place to dl it in a torrent package of Tribe unreleased/hits/rarities . Oops if this is against TOS. lol

it's Kool....but my favorites from these sessions are "Johnny Died", "That's Sexy" (with Andre 3000), "Official", and "Where Do You Go"(I was wondering if that one's making reference to Dilla...)
