New Scissor Sisters - " I Dont Feel Like Dancin' "

song available for listen at bottom of this link:

http://www.gay.com/conten...ent/music/

>>>>by Stewart Jensen

They're back!

Two years after their spectacular rise, Scissor Sisters are about to re-enter planet pop's atmosphere with a bang. Scissor Sisters fanatics will finally be able to get their hot little hands on the internationally famous and fabulous band's long-awaited second album, "Ta-Dah," on September 26, but we've got your first listen to the first single "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'".

Don't let the song title fool ya -- "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" is probably one of the most joyous, rollicking dance songs ever about staying home and feeling miserable.

"Singing about not feeling like dancing -- it was the only way to write a dance song that was fun," explains the world's most famous gay rock star, front man Jake Shears. "The song is also about being in love," adds Ana Matronic. "There is a line that goes, 'I'd rather be at home with the one in bed till dawn." <<<

Yes, what have the Scissor Sisters done to incure your wrath?!

As far the song, it's a feel good track which I'm sure would be great to dance to with friends. I've not danced to it with friends yet but I'm sure I'll enjoy it should the opportunity arise.

I realize it's not REALLY their fault but whatevs...

They are coming back to Minnesota. But instead of playing one of the many, MANY venues in MPLS (which they've already played before), they are playing this new "super club" in fucking MAPLEWOOD, MN. So, so, SOOOO annoying.

Maplewood's this craptastic suburb about 20-25 minutes DRIVE from MPLS. This club opened in the last 6 months and promoters are tryina get it going.

I hope ticket sales are shit. Considering they've had limited crossover success, it's insane that they are playing a suburban venue. I am firmly opposed.

giggle THAT'S why I'm mad at them.

Goodness! I here what you're saying about large venues though. It's a shame when acts get quite big and have to play large arenas. Sure, they have to accomodate for the amount of folks who want to see them but they sure are an atmosphere killer. That's why I'm put off going to see Muse and Razorlight at the Sheffield Arena. Sure, Prince was fantastic there but he's a superstar. However, I saw Massive Attack there and the size of the place and the acoustics turned it into a wholly solem and unsatisfactory waste of time. Neither the audience or the band enjoyed I felt.

that's the worst. It's one good thing I've found with my love of britpop/rock and being in the states. Bands that sell out arenas in the UK play tiny little venues here. It rocks.

The most annoying thing about the SS show is: they didn't sell-out their last show in Mpls (at the Quest-formerly Glam Slam). The buzz has died down around them. There are multiple Quest size (or bigger) venues in the city. Yet they are playing this club in the sticks. It's clearly some behind the scenes promoter dealio which is lame.

I love this song!! I first saw them two years ago at T in the Park, and I loved them, but this is their best yet IMO nod

Someone on the radio said it reminded them of the BeeGees, and I think it kinda does confused But better!

Their official forums suck!

I was kicked off for reasons unknown (I read through the rules and I hadn't broken any one of them). I emailed the admin about three times asking why I'd been booted off and got no response whatsoever. Eventually, I contacted a few people who I'd befriended there and they told me that it happens all the time with no explanation. One person suggested that I re-register under a new name which is what they ended up doing, but personally, I wasn't that desperate to get back onto their forums.

I seriously doubt the group are aware of, or have any input on how their forums are run, but it won't do them much good if members are being kicked off for no apparent reason and given no explanation.

But anyhow, I Don't Feel Like Dancin' is pretty cool and can be legitimately downloaded from most download stores now. According to this month's Attitude magazine, the new album is as good, if not better than their last.
