I remember when "Like a Bird" was released. I dug that song and Nelly's vibe. Now she returns with this pseudo-club hoe vibe on that terrible "Promiscuous." It's sad to me that this is what music has become. Folks are desperate to sell records now, so they don't take the chance at being an individual for fear of poor sales. Everyone looks like they just walked off the street or just came from the club in these videos. Folks are afraid to even look different.

My sister said Nelly looks like a soccer mom trying to be sexy and it ain't working.

I agree, this style doesn't seem to fit her.

You know what's funny....I think people forgot that very early on while "I'm Like A Bird" was still out she was on the remix of Missy's "Get Ur Freak On". And "Turn Off The Lights" was very poppy. And your sister is wrong. Nelly is hot and doesn't look desperate....like Paris Hilton.

Yup....I actually think LOOSE is one of the most consistantly satisfying pop records in some time...it's the first pop CD I've purchased in a long time. It's not all one-dimensional....there are many different style showcased here...then there's that killer ballad in the end...the 'All good thing come to an end' song is so beautiful! To each their own i guess. I actually really like Nelly's latest. All i have seen and heard is "Maneater" and "Promiscuous Girl", but if the rest of the album is like those 2 then i will like it very much indeed. I think she is very talented and very flexible, and can do a lot of different things, as "Loose" shows.

im not sure what you are smoking but Nelly is hot and so is her album. shes lookin great, shes soundin great and all ya'll do is hate. she has been doing the pop thing for a while now, and even worked with timbaland dating back to 'ching ching ching' with ms.jade. this is one of the best pop albums ive heard in a long time..i dont see why people are putting her down. you liked her shit to you heard her on the radio i guess...but she already knew that.

Ah she's aiight and she's cute like the rest of the little popsy wopsies these days. I saw her on stage with Carlos Santana (can't remember what) about 4 years ago or so, but I decided to listen since everyone was making a big deal out of her and her voice was cracking and she was singing predominantly out of key, so I pretty much changed the channel and forgot about her. Hopefully, she got some help for that voice.
