Owning her own label, Dereon, the diva sells clothes made of animal fur and infuriates the animal rights sustainers

Beyonce Knowles has lately been bombarded with hate mail for selling animal fur products in her fashion range. The curvy singer has received tons of letters since her label, Dereon, started selling clothes made of rabbit and chinchilla fur and also teddy bears made of mink.

Even more, some furious animal rights campaigners have threatened to leave carcasses outside the star's home, according to a report in Britain's “News of The World” newspaper.

But it’s not the first time Beyonce has been slammed by animal welfare groups. The sensual singer was one of the celebrities blasted by PETA for wearing Canadian Mukluk boots, which are made of rabbit fur.

The organization's spokesman Sean Gifford said at the time: "The rabbits are sourced from Asia and love crammed into small, wire boxes before being electrocuted or strangled. Many are skinned alive. As far as we can see, this kind of treatment is what celebrities - those who don't give a damn - are supporting. Fake fur looks every bit as good."

Despite being harshly criticized and slammed by animal rights campaigners, the chocolate-skinned diva is still going on with her own-labeled animal fur items, without having any resentments.

If they are going to die, it can be in a much less torturous way. Really now, skinned alive???

I believe in animal rights and everything and I don't wear fur but..what makes me angry about these PETA people is the fact that don't even stop to think about human suffering...I bet you could ask any of them about how they feel about Darfur, child exploitation,AIDS,or human slavery and they wouldn't even know what you were talking about. I say save everybody not just animals.

I'm a person that believes fur can have an appropriate place amongst a person's wardrobe items. I don't own a fur coat, but I have worn fur before: particularly while atop of an Alpine mountain in Northern Italy freezing my toukas off for an ad campaign in a clinding snowstorm. To say I didn't appreaciate that coat and hat in those conditions, I would simply be lying through my teeth.

However, I think there are degrees of appropriatenes for everything. So I would also be lying outright if I didn't admit that I think the idea of mink teddy bears is ludicrous. Just absolutely stupid, nouveau riche, and a blatant waste of an animal's life. Nobody wears a freakin'teddy bear on their head in -20° weather
