Jerome Smith gave the band it's funk. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

For sure. And other big TK hits. He's also all over the Blowfly tracks. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

I don't know, the tunes are cool for what they are. KC might seem a bit goofy live but the band is serious. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

They had multiple consecutive hits in the mid 70s and were done in by a combination of the record company milking releases (releasing the flip side of singles already released as new singles), KC getting in an accident, by poor quality control on an album (one track skipped on multiple copies I bought and returned), and finally the bizarre disco backlash that I never understood.
