Newcleus - Jam On It

I wished that I can breakdance like these homies had in this video but sadly I cant do it anymore. Still I love this song and I just love me some electro funk!

I love them all. Jonzun Crew, Afrika Bambattaa, Eqyptian Lover, World Class Wrecking Cru, Pretty Tony, Cybotron, Kraftwerk, Planet Patrol, and all of those folks who contribute to electro funk.
I also like it when one of those boys did that smurf dance too.

Very cool. I love those artists too. Have you noticed a lot of rappers have been sampling "looking for the perfect beat"? i have to admit "holla at me baby" by dj Khaled feat. Paul Wall, Pitbull, Rick Ross etc is the bomb!

I also noticed more rappers are sampling a lot of electro funk on their music but still the orginal rules. biggrin

I have to convince my oldest brother who should know better on this that Missy and Ciera didn't came up with that beat on their song called In Control or whatever it was but they got that beat from Cybotron's Clear. It is sad that so many kids today thinks that these today artists are comimg up with those 80s beats on their own. No way reality is they need to pick up some electro funk jams of the 80s and find out for themselves about the innovators.

I agree and I also think that the newer artists should give props to the orginators on the track they are sampling from them. You know like Paul Wall could have given a shout out to Bam or something like that. That way the kids listening to it will know and credit is given.

Exactly. Or they should give them like a video appearence on the videos or some compensation or something since I don't think most of these ol skool rap artists doesn't get pay for it since most of them didn't wrote the music.
I just love the culture in the late 70s and mid 80s. THe breakdancing and also the music. Damn I missed those days. Even though I was young. still I remembered my brother and cousin used a raggedy cardboard breakdancing on it.
