Why isn't the song "Torture" on the remastered version? It seems they took off this song and put "Hey You" in it's place. What's the deal? sad

I was wondering how "Hey You" was able to fit on the CD.

the original CD release was only 74 minutes or so, I believe. Hey You could have been added much sooner than now if they had wanted to.

no, it's track 3 on disc 1

I'm talking about the remastered version, not the old 1987 cd.

I'm not much of a Cure fan, but I love Kiss Me x 3, so I'll be getting that. I believe it's the first time the full length vinyl version of the album has been released on CD.

it's my term for when a band goes through a creative slump. "never let me down" was a hideous david bowie record from 1987, made during a time that he himself has claimed was artistically pretty bleak.

It easily could have fit on the original cd released in 1987. For some reason the record companies didn't know exactly how much music fit onto a cd. Or maybe it was just a cynical ploy to get people who bought the cd to also purchase the vinyl or cassette. I believe the same thing happened on the original cd release of 1999. Didn't it leave of "D.M.S.R."?

Couldn't CD's only hold about 74 minutes back then?

for a time, yeah. remember 74 minute CD-Rs when they first started selling 'em?

i remember 1999 when it didn't have DMSR...i think you could get it on the "risky business" soundtrack.

You sir, are my kind of guy. Except I don't really do toys anymore. The closest things would be my Randy Bowen mini-busts. I have to have every X-Men one! And Dawn also--every official Linsner Dawn statue is a must-have for me.

i just bought 'em all today except for the glove, which i'm sure i'll go back for soon...i'm SO GEEKING OUT listening to these tonight! the bonus discs are kicking my ass! these are by far my favorites so far, but then again, they were my favorites before the reissues, so i guess this isn't such a huge surprise.

gimme 'disintegration' and my day's officially made. cloud9

let's just say i'm glad i own it. it's kinda hard to love in my opinion...always has been for me. but it's so interesting, because it was the first time they got colorful and psychadelic and playful, really...the bonus disc is interesting but nothing too transcendent. i bought it mainly because i discovered all the cure reissues were 19.99 instead of 25.99 at tower, just as they were ringing up my purchases. smile

I think that's the case for most people. It is a bit of a mess, but that's part of its appeal.

For some reason, "Pornography" has always been harder for me to penetrate and fully appreciate. I think I'm a little afraid of it actually.

The only real toys I collect these days are my Marvel Legends and DC Directs. I used to collect way more, but I had to tone it down.

I don't own any of the Bowen stuff, but I totally understand the appeal. Those mini-busts are amazing!!

I have 2 of the 4 now!

woot!

this year has been a birthday that just keeps on giving!

the BF and I listened to all of Head On The Door tonight as we painted our lives away. i LOVED the second disc.

The Top will have to come another day. I'm not familiar with the majority of it and I wanted to wait until I could really concentrate on it...

I got all four, but haven't had a chance to listen to them yet. Since I'm forced to be at work on the weekend (at 8am no less), I figure today is good day to spend some time with them.

I hope I'm not all Cured out by the end.
