Under The Pink

Absolutely one of the most gorgeous albums I have ever heard. Every song is sublime.

Bells For Her drool

I want to kill this waitress headbang

God guitar

What are your favorite songs from this album?

I heart this album.

I`m new to Tori Amos, i haven`t heard this album yet.
I know "Boys for Pele", and i LOVE that album, in fact, i was thinking about starting an appreciation thread for the song "Putting the damage on", which is the most beautiful Amos song i`ve heard (yet)
Anyway, i`ll have to check out "Under the pink", i hear each of her albums are very different, so i don`t know what to expect.

That's funny because there's a song named "Icicle" on Under the Pink. biggrin I've rediscovered Under the Pink after getting into her later albums first.

"God" was my favorite Tori Amos song for a very long time. "Cornflake Girl", "Past The Mission" (with Trent Reznor on background vocals), "Cloud On My Tongue" and the epic "Yes Anastasia" are also standouts to me.

Yeah, i guess some Amos fans think i took my name after the song, but actually i didn`t know ANYTHING about her music when i joined the org. Thanks to the org, i "discovered" her, and i`m glad i did worship

I know what you mean. I designed some artwork for a Tori remix comp that I'm going to send to Supa tomorrow. (I really mean it this time! I'm so late with that box set I promised him.) I was looking at photos and stuff and it got me all Tori-giddy!

Here's the back insert. I don't know why photobucket shrank it so much:

The tracklisting is nothing you don't already have:

disc 1
1. God (Carl Craig’s The Thinking Mix 2)
2. Professional Widow (Armand’s Star Trunk Funkin’ Mix)
3. In The Springtime Of His Voodoo (Hasbrouck Heights Club Mix)
4. Blue Skies (with BT) (Paul Van Dyk’s Blauer Himmel mix)
5. Raspberry Swirl (Sticky Extended Vocal Mix)
6. Jackie's Strength (Wedding Cake Club Mix)
7. Don't Make Me Come To Vegas (Timo on Tori)

disc 2
1. Blue Skies (with BT) (Delphinium Days)
2. Professional Widow (MK Mix)
3. Talula (BT’s Synethasia Mix)
4. Father Lucifer (Sylkscreen Remix)
5. Hey Jupiter (The Dakota Version)
6. Spark (Mainline Cherry)
7. Raspberry Swirl (Scarlet Spectrum Feels)
8. God (The Joy’s The Dharma Kaya Mix)

Thanks! I admit I got a little worked up placing the copy all over Tori's chest like that. redface

UTP is such a beautiful peoce of work. The song 'God' I love so...

As for Icicle's comment on BOYS FOR PELE...'Putting The Damage On' is my absolute favorite Tori song (next to 'Winter)...and the song came at the time I went through a horrible break up...almost 10 years ago...wow..I remember lying in bed in a dark room crying as this song played! Man I was spung on that bastard!

I saw a used copy at eil.com for USD 372.00, so i guess it`s pretty rare.
Still, that was a lot of money....

Possibly my favorite album of hers (but that varies with mood).

"Space Dog", "Icicle" and "Baker Baker" are faves of mine, but there really isn't a song I dislike on it.

The screamo parts in "Pretty Good Year" and "The Waitress" got on my nerves at first, but I don't mind them now.
