I love "Understand"! That is a killer. "Slow Down Baby" is kinda cool. There's something likable about "Still Dirrty." I think disc 2 is much more interesting in an artistic sense. I love what she was going for here. Total throwback. I wish artists still had the balls to throw curveballs at their fanbase like this. Unfortunately, her record lable got scurred and tacked this album onto the backend of a typical Christina album in hopes to appease the pop market. Her vocals on the second disc are way more tasteful than her usual vocal acrobatics and it's so refreshing. I can't even sit through an entire album of hers because it just gets annoying. It's almost like she has no idea of how to interpret a song. She just shows off the whole time. I figured that would all come with maturity and it has. Disc 2 is a prime example of what she could be when she tones it down. Disc 1 is like a "Stripped Pt 2" with horn samples to keep the theme. So combined, the whole thing just feels really bloated. I hope they're gonna be smart and sell it at an affordable pricepoint.

I have listened to it once. Hurt is beautiful. Though it's a great CD, i think I'm disappointed. it's not a bad CD, it's awesome. I guess i expected more throwback sounds in the singles, but it just seemed as there were more pop songs. As piepie1976 mentioned, it sounds like Stripped 2. Though the CD Stripped was better. However, for the artistic talent and the songs in which she did do the throwbacks sound, A+++++

Can't wait to hear it. So it's really more the labels fault than hers if that album isn't solid or cohesive since the label was scared to go with the original idea. They tried to balance it out to equal the success or at least the interest of Stripped. More is not always a good thing.

Well from the beinning this cd was supposed to be about the "basics", it was not supposed to be a double, and really should not be considered a doubl;e since the label is pricing it as 1. I havent checked out the "leak" yet but i had heard seven tracks about a month ago, and wasnt really feeling what i heard so much. The label was not behind the idea of this just being a "standards" type of cd and they were worried about a backlash from her fans and media and they didnt think that would sell like stripped did. Well i think the labels will be in for a surprise because none of the upcoming releases are going to sell what they think because the amount of $$ they put out to hype the records. Almost all of the upcoming mega releases have to sell between 2-5 million to break even, sorry but those days are over.
