Lionel Richie new music

Yesterday i was listening to the radio and i heard someone requesting
lionel richie and hear i am thinking it was going to be hello or
something from the 80's. I was working in the house and i listened i said
hey this is some new shit from lionel and it wasn't that sappy shit he
has done on his prior two releases. I said yeah this is kinda like that old
lionel richie and it sounds contemporary without him singing about bling
and rolling in a 64. I think the song is i call it love. It is the best thing
from lionel in 10 years since i don't wanna lose you. On his website he is said
to have worked with raphael sadiiq, jermaine dupri, and chuckii booker who is
now his musical director. The album is appropriately called coming home i believe. I expect it to be a good release. I only wish he could give us one
more time a little of that fancy dancer Yeowww!!!! lol
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

I have to disagree big time on this one. I think this is one of the weakest tracks that Lionel has done in quite awhile. The blame is all on the Production, once again stale RB beats, this time its NE-YO and his camp doing it, wow that is sad. Im hoping though the CD will be good, i usually Like Lionel but this song just does nothing for me and sounds like everyone else, not Lionel. Which is probably why its doing well at Radio, everyone thinks its someone else, and the song sounds like everyone else does. Im hoping Raphael will get something good out of Lionel, im worried about the JD stuff too because its JD and he is just a shrunken Puffy. I can almost guarantee without hearing this record that Lionel is going to be trying to be "down", i hope im wrong.

I have a love/hate thing with his new song but when it came on in the movie theater the other day I couldn't help but sing the song...

I LOVE this new song, it just proves that Lionel still has it. Now let's hope he uses it for the whole album.

I wonder why it's working for him now....He's attempted comeback before and it always seems like it's going to happen, but it never does and at best, he ends up with a minor hit ("Angel", "Just For You", etc.). Maybe it's working with younger, "hip" artists. BTW, I remember listening to Sirius Hits station and they played the new song, which I don't care for and someone else mentioned the Nicole factor....wellm they listed him as Lionel Richie/Nicole Richie's Dad...sometimes on the side of the artists they'll tell you if the song is new. a remix or something like that.....I've never read anything like that before! Maybe Nicole was on the show, but I doubt it.
