Harlepolis said: U and I are going to be friends! Very good taste. This is my favorite era in music. The whole funk thing to me is just so tight! That beat that would make you frown for the funk! [Edited 8/1/06 13:55pm]

"Call Me" was the jam! I was living in Inglewood, California when that song was released and couldn't dance a lick. Now, I move with the best of them.

Good shit! Start of a romance and real love from 1990 was my
joints too. Randy Muller of brass construction did a great job molding them. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

AWYEAH ! TIGHT JAM !
This was such an early time for vids . Great that they shot it , cause a lot of other groups didn't take that decision . I've seen an interview with Kleeer and they never got to shooting some vids because it was an experimental fase for them at the time being . Supervisor Randy Muller also produced some more acts , like Rafael Cameron and Funk Deluxe . Another clip from Skyy i've seen so far on YouTube is Straight From The Left Side ( Givin' It To You ) ( 1986/1987 ) . . . . [Edited 8/2/06 11:24am]

That was the typical cool Randy Muller-style slang . I've heard those kinda chants also in tracks from the Brass Construction and Rafael Cameron .

Has anyone heard a 12 Inch version of this song? I remember when the song was in style, there was a version played on the radio that had parts of "Skyyzoo" mixed in it. I never saw a 12 Inch in the stores back in the day so I'm wondering if maybe a DJ had made that version for the radio. Andy is a four letter word.

The lyrics of this song is the MOST chicken-headed bullshit I ever heard. The groove sho nuff make up for the lyrics.
"Tho your girlfriend, a friend of mine, here's my number and a DIME call me ANYTIME?" WHOA! Bitch, HOW desparate are you for a dick? And to dog your girl like that? Tacky and whore-ish [Edited 8/2/06 12:40pm]

Tacky and whore-ish [Edited 8/2/06 12:40pm] That's my favorite line in the song because it reminds me so much of me. I am a whore to my heart. I have had so many of my friends' pieces. Sometimes with them asleep in the same room or even other times sharing them in a threesome. I tell them all the time..."If this is someone you actually care about, don't bring them over to my house because you know I'm going to try to have them if they look halfway decent". Andy is a four letter word.

It ought to. It's just "Sexy Dancer" by this dude from Minneapolis. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

It is a shame this group never really broke out big but they say it was due to not having a manager. Their lead singer woody cunningham stated that was a mistake and having a bad management would have been better than having none at all. However; they had some funky joints like she said she loves me, get tough, running back to you, and intimate connection. Don't laugh at my funk

But they're now one of the soul-treasures in music history . Their style was one of a kind . And they hitted BIG TIME in the UK , around the releases of the Intimate Connection and Seeekret albums . 2 years they visited with sold-out shows . Those cats were welcomed over there like lost heroes . They couldn't believe the exposure they got in the UK . It's all been written in the liner-notes of that cd , along with the fact that Madonna introduced them to the Roland drum machine . Also , Mic Murphy from The System used to be their tour-manager for a short period . . . . [Edited 8/3/06 6:33am]

Is she that horny?? . [Edited 8/11/06 4:15am]

I was crazy for 80s funk & RnB but Skyy completely passed me by. Great tune though. The dance moves remind me of a dance called the slosh which my grandmother used to do. It was a routine which pensioners could do as it wasn't too strenuous
