I like when Klymaxx are funky like this. Conversely, I absolutely cannot stand when Fenderella sings those sappy ballads. barf

I need to make a Klymaxx greatest funkin' hits comp.

It's not that bad. It's only Bernadette Cooper vs. Cheryl Cooley

It was over the fact that Cheryl used the "Klymaxx" name (for a FAKE band) without any written permisssion from Bernadette (who is BTW the founder of the group & the one responsible for inventing the band's name).

And the ones getting fucked the most are the people that go to see the concert. Could you imagine Klymaxx without Bernadette Cooper? Hell no, that's like The Time without Morris Day.

Klymaxx was good, but I think that it was the songwriting and producing skills of Reggie Calloway(from Midnight Star) that put them over the top, rather then their talent. They did have some good music though.

I didn't know he worked with them. I don't know though, Bernadette was pretty good herself. Did you hear the album she produced for Madame X? That album was great from start to finish.

Yeah he did that whole "Meeting In The Ladies Room" album. Don't forget that Midnight Star and Klymaxx were both signed to Solar Records back in the 80's. To me Madame X sounded alot like Vanity 6. Me and my brither laughed at the lead singers hairdo. It looked like a Pelican's beak.

Yeah, I've got the 12 Inch of "The Men All Pause" and it's on Constellation Records which was put out by Solar. The dub version on the B side is really great. I also have the 45s "Meeting In The Ladies Room" and "Sexy". That tided me over until I later got the greatest hits CD during the 1990s.

Madame X reminded me of the next version of a Prince girl trio....Vanity 6, Apollonia 6, Madame 6. lol

Bernadette also produced partly , alongside Brownmark ,
the second unreleased Mazarati-album from which the 2 singles above were officially released .

And she concepted a one-album for female-group Madame X ,
including Just That Kinda Girl , inspired by Nasty Girl from V6 .

Even before Klymaxx , Joyce Irby was already dropping some joints .

There are 2 Klymaxx camps though .
Prolly because of business-differences or other issues , Bernadette & Cheryl Cooley operate on their own :

I am with you on that. I love fenderella but she sounds like a broke ass
michael jackson singing those sappy ballads. However;I'd still say yes with
howard hewitt was the shit.
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
