This place has reached a all time low...most topics and discussions here can't be taken seriously. I would expect this from a Marilyn Manson fansite but not from a Prince fansite. I am a newbie Prince fan and a cousin of mines recently became interested in Prince music. She wanted to know more about Prince and his fans, like I do, and I recommended her to come to this site. ( Dumb of me) She saw topics about Jesus "Best sexual position" or something like that, and she's not visiting here anymore. I use to come this site for insight about issues and to get a laugh, this site can be real funny. But now it's getting pathetic..I can't take many things on this site seriously like I use to. I know that I have free will to read and block what I want to, but this site as a whole, I just can't take it seriously anymore. I know i'm going to get flamed, but I don't give a damn. Exodus.

I volunteer to become a moderator, since Ben seems to have been abducted by aliens...

I agree this site has gone down the toilet as far as topics allowed and also forums etc.It needs to be worked on.MINNEAPOLISFUNK

In some ways, you're right. I used to recommend fellow Prince fans visit this site. I wouldn't even think about it now. I do recommend it to friends of mine, but it's not for the meek-they don't normally stay long. Oh well.

I think it's funny that people still occasionally ask for the GD forum back because nothing's changed one bit since it was deleted.

...Now that said, I've adapted. It's no longer a Prince fan exclusive site, but an online community named "Prince.org" having much less to do with Prince than with general discussions.
I can live with that now. I look for topics i want to comment on and do so. If i don't see one i like, i either go buh bye or create my own.

Obviously the creators of the Org don't really seem to mind or else they would've done something back in May when it really started. I resisted then, i kind of like it now.

I totally agree. This site is depressing. It really needs a moderator or two or three. It looks more like a pervert site than a music site. A few bad apples spoil the bunch.

well, if they had opened up the GD section then people could have avoided the topics and had zero grounds for complaint...


for the record...many many people have given advise and recommendations on how to improve the org...im sure matt and ben are just really busy with their personal lives and will get to modifying things as soon as they can...

Thank you SensualMelody, thank you very much. The rudeness and immaturity of this site is unattractive and I don't know if I can stay around much longer. I've seen countless threads bashing religions and other people..these people isn't stating their opinion, they are just being plain rude and I can't take that seriously and dive into a meaningful discussion... I'm a positive person and I can't partake in discussions when individuals tare you apart. I know there are many orgers like you out there SensualMelody, but where are they? The PPML went extinct, the topic forums have became a haven for boring attention starved children and the news is updated so sporadically that it's out of date by the time it's posted. I enjoy discussing Prince music, albums,etc. I like concrete news, and debating his music.

Come to Prince.org, and you have to wade through too much anger, rudeness, preversion, and negativity. People only want to critisize, and complain, and use Prince as a springboard for what appears to be lives in discord, unhappiness, anger,dissatisfaction,sexual deprivation. People seem to expect Prince to bring something to their lives that is lacking. Who cares about Tommy Lee, giving head, eating Jesus, etc.,etc.,etc.

What about an analysis of "Around the World in a Day", or something? NAW, let's talk about Prince's new wife looking equestrian!

It's sad. Frankly, I like it better when I pop into a record store and see a new Prince album, and that is all the knowledge I have of this artist. Too much info is not a good thing. Prince.org has taken the joy out of Prince listening to an extent. Too much.Because I have come across blurbs about NPGMC sucking, or Larry Graham this or that.

Let's face it: Prince just doesn't warrant in depth discussion 24/7. How much can REALLY be said that most of us don't know already?

well, dont know if this has any relavence but... Eye think because of all the freedom we have on this site.. its caused us to isolate ourselves from what we come here for.. I agree with herbthe4 and sensualmelody. Stay. I can say that I have taken a beating around here, when normally poeple have been more understanding of me. I think that the negativity can change if we try to change it. We need to stop replying to dumb threads and start good ones. If we just take some time and think, I bet lots of you intellects can think of interesting topics... please don't give up...

I almost gave up too, but what does that solve? Let's try.

As stupid as this may sound, I feel that there have been lots of "lazy" posts. And I think I fell into that area w/ my Larry comment. I didn't stop to think about what I really meant and just typed and hit enter. Just lazy. Didn't want to explain or articulate, hence, not being understood and having to try and get it right...horrible experience. But it boils down to a lack of interest and laziness. So let's pick it up and get this place busy with interesting and fun dialogue

How amny times can u disect his albums,women,related artist before u start 2 crack.When the first closed GD it was Prince Prince Prince and things really got slow(post were at a alltime low).Then people slowly worked the org back 2 the way they wanted it and them some.If Gd was open u wouldn't have half the crazy threads u have.Even Prince would get sick of hearing about one man jam or whats your favorite track on this or that album.SOMETIMES THERE ISN'T JOY IN REPETITIION...SOMETIMES THERE'S PAIN.
