Believe it or not!!! James still got it!!!
I saw James Brown twice in the 90's and thought that
would gonna be the last time seeing him.
Even tho those shows had some highlights and so much better
compares to the shows he did in the 80's,he was still tired
and his voice was just a shadow of what it once was.

I was so close of not going to this show in Stockholm,
but a friend convinced me.
I don't know what happened but what saw yesterday was the
godfather of soul in supreme mood.
His voice got all the power back.I coold'nt beleve it!!!
I think he surpriced the whole audience.
Also the band sounded a whole lot better than the last time.
Less Las Vegas and more heavy funk and James was dancing again.

I was on one of the sides of the stage and when James Brown
came out on my side of the stage with is huge grin and
began to dance to the crowd on that end everybody went crazy
and it was so cool seeing this 70 something year old legend get down.
Still the hardest working man in showbusiness biggrin

PLEASE! I saw him in 2000, and when he came out, they had to point him in the direction of the front of the stage! He was facing backwards and was confused!

It was hilarious. Still got it, my ass.

Blame your local drug dealer for that...

I saw him at the start of this year, and I thought it was a great show. He sung better than on the House of Blues DVD so I was pleasantly surprised. The band were fantastic!!

I saw him 2 years ago in concert, and was blown away. There I was, a 16 year old watching a 70+ year old musician jam his ass off, commanding the band with perfection and sounding like he still had his stuff. That's what turned me into a fan and really made me appreciate the funk. As a matter of fact, I don't think I would have become a Prince fan if I weren't a James Brown fan then.
