NEW WONDER??? RAUL MIDON OMG! I have just seen an amazing performance by a guy called RAUL MIDON. He restored my faith in the contemporary music.
He's got so many talents: he plays a guitar, he does the best vocal trumpet improvistion I've ever heard, writes his own material and takes a lot after Stevie Wonder. I swear that, at times, he sound JUST LIKE STEVIE. Unfortuantely, just like Stevie, Raul is also blind. I couldn't believe my ears and eyes. Just listen to his tracks 'Expressions of Love', 'Suddenly' or 'State of Mind.' To some of you this might be no news. He's been around since 2005. Is he the new Wonder, or not? I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

He is quite talented.
For a Stevie Wonder/Raul Midon connection check out his version of I Just Called To Say I Love You from Herbie Hancock's... ...Possibilites release. Stevie even plays harmonica on it. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

I've tried Van Hunt before. He's ok, but for some reason his music doen't move me. Genrelly speaking, I am not a fan of neo-soul. I love the real thing - the 19050's-1970's R&B, Soul and funk. But, for some reason, this guy Raul impressed me with his vocal trumpet. I have to give him some time to decide whether he's a keeper to me. I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

I am very happy to hear of Raul's success. It's been a long time coming for him. He was a regular on the local music scene in Miami Beach when I lived there a very long time ago. Good person. Great heart. Extraordinarily talented, and can move a room into a frenzy even if it's the size of a broom closet.
