whats up with the PUSSY CAT DOLLS WHY is that only one of them sings... i think its the hawiian girl... why dont the other girls have their time to shine... they stay in the back... and even when you watch their videos they barely flash on the others... its like they are just back up dancers and the hawiian girl... is the star... i dont even know what the other girls look like... thats probably why i dont like them as a group... cause they arent individuals... like the spice girls you got to see each one individually... and TLC... like they each had parts in their songs... it wasnt just T-boz
but PCD... you cant really like them or become a fan cause their music is Okay and you dont really know what they look like or their personalities  |

At first I thought you meant Nicole in your previous comment, but the black girl, I believe her name is Melody, can sing very well too. Its not about being biased, its a fact, Christina and Beyonce both have super voices but the way they use them live are not good at all the same goes for Jessica too. What will end up happening is that they will blow out their vocals and have to adjust the way Mariah has due to vocal strains. Oh please. I heard PCD doing "Buttons" on t.v. and Miss Nicole was breathing all on the end of notes and it sounded like she was straining. All singers who do choreography are guilty of this at some point. The bottom line is when you hit the stage, no matter how well rehersed you are it could end up coming out differently than you planned. It always sounds better in rehersal because people are calm. As soon as adrenaline enters the picture, everything changes. Nicole can sing but she's not impervious to the same things that Bey & Xtina are when it comes to the stage. They've been doing it long enough to the point that they know how far to press their voices. I doubt they are gonna blow out their voices anytime soon with millions of $$$ riding on their careers. Belive me, when you have the kind of dough that's invested in them as it is, there are people watching for this sort of thing. Their vocal coaches probably consult with them after every other performance or so.

I wish Nicole well...on her solo album! Well actually nicole has been at it just as long as they have if not longer. Edens crush was 2000, but before that Nicole was with Days of the New as a Vocalist and doing background here and there in the late 90's. Well there were alot of people watching out for Mariah including the people early in her career who would not let her tour because it would ruin her voice. And sure enough as the 90's went on Mariah did blow out her voice, but what she didnt do was make adjustments. This is where i think people forget "training', its great to hit notes and all that which Beyonce and Xtina do alot, but its not all about notes, I saw Jessica simpson once on TV and she was singing "take my breath away" and i realized how "untrained" she was, screaming and just trying to do som 'star search, sam harris notes". Another thing about Mariah is that she has no confidence in her live singing at all. Adjusting to your voice is what its all about, anyone can scream out some notes, but there will come a time when Beyonce and Xtina and others will have to make that adjustment. Its very easy to blow your voice out, Mariah did it, others have done it, but its what you do after that. Also whats wrong with "strain", too many of todays singers are worried about that, I heard Mariah once singing live (which is rare) and she did "Bringin on the Heartbreak" and at one point she was so into it, there was a rasp and strain, and that was impressive. Nowadays everyone uses the track behind them who knows whats real or not. I'm not hating on your girl, now. I remember "Eden's Crush" with Nicole just like I remember "Wild Orchid" with Fergie. I was not trying to imply that she is new to the game or that she is untrained. I was simply making the point that she makes the same inevitable mistakes that ANYONE WHO DOES CHOREOGRAPHY AND SINGS SIMULTANEOUSLY does. They should all study the master, Michael Jackson a lot more closely pther than learning moves. He structured most of his performancess so that he's not dancing at the same time he's singing. Performers still haven't learned that yet. Trying to do backflips, handstands and other mess while singing will change your breathing every time. Bey and Xtina do over-exert themselves sometimes. They do need to slow it down at tour time because that's where blow-outs happen. Right now, your homegirl has nothing to worry about for the type of material she's singing right now could probably be done by anyone else in the group although probably not as well (besides Melody). those songs are made to be sing-along songs. I'm more curious to see what she's gonna do after PCD is done for. (You know just as well as I do that the ride will end in at most a couple of CDs). That's when we'll see who Nicole really is, though. | |

I didnt take it like that, Nicole has got alot more to show the music world, people will be shocked at what she can do. This is just the right vehicle to get her more attention, and no one expected PCD to take off like this, so its going to be even more of a chance for her. To get a good idea of what Nicole can do, just listen to the track "Feelin Good" from the Cd, that is where Nicole is headed with her solo work when the time comes.
