I got this album on Friday in London. I love Kelis, but I have to say it's by far her weakest album by far. There are some great songs there, and it's still heads above most of this year's r'n'b, but it has too much filler.

Oh no, please don't tell me that. Not again! That's how I felt about Tasty. I still say Wanderland is her best cd!

hell yeah, that was a really solid album. i don't know i'm starting to lose faith in her. why does she always throw in some generic r&b on her albums? is it to gain more commercial success? just go with being the fun loving freak you are kelis. we love you that way!

I wanna know one thing... just onnneee thing.

Why the hell has Kelis never toured the States in a headlining tour?

It makes me semi-pissed to have bootlegs of her live gigs throughout Europe from 1999-2001 when she performed Nirvana's Smell Like Teen Spirit every nite and did justice to covers of The Eurythmics, Steppenwolf and even Lionel Richie's "Hello"!

There were talks of her co-headlining with Saadiq around the time of Tasty, but that never came into fruition. I never got a chance to witness any of that early riotgrrrl-type Kelis live. And that's wack!

Ive seen Kelis perform twice, both times w/ N.E.R.D. She needs to do a headlining tour though. I agree.

Really because "Wanderland" is filled with how much she loves Jesus.

I just bought "Wanderland" and listend to most of it. It's cool, very consistent. I don't want to say all the songs sound the same, but they are very similar but in a good way. It's definately a sound, the Neptunes beats and Kelis voice (and those offbeat lyrics). I think I would really probably dig her debut since I loved both singles better than anything else I've heard from her, and I like most of her stuff.

But this new album. Can't get into it....will probably give it another try and then sell it off!

That doesn't really mean anything to me. A lot of people who love Jesus aren't Born Again.

Maybe I'm wrong in assuming that someone that is born again should conduct themselves in a more Christ-like manner.

Along with Dylan and Idlewild, this is the third bestalbum of the year so far. Another album that makes Prince obsolete.

Nah, the Neptunes had waaay too much freedom on that album. It kinda all sounded the same after a while..couple of songs couldve been left off that album too. But headbang to

Young Fresh N New / Digital World / Junkie / Easy Come Easy Go / Flashback / Popular Thug / Get Even

The rest kinda just sounded like Neptune rejects. Kelis Was Here may be her most commercial and could be my favorite pretty soon..if it wasnt for Weekend (which is starting to sound kinda bland to me) and Goodbye bored and Fuck Them Bitches (which wasnt supposed 2 be on there anyway).
Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I wish I knew the reason why the gig was cancelled. I wonder if it was related to the album's first week sales in any way. I don't even think it hit Top 40.

It debuted at #10 in Billboard, but then took a huge nose dive out of the top 50 in the second week.

This sucks. I was so looking forward to seeing her. I love the album and dare I say I can even sit through Bossy without fast forwarding. I just saw the video for Blindfold Me. Not one of my favorites but I wonder if it will catch on like the first single did.

I downloaded it on itunes and I like most of the tracks but I still prefer her work with The neptunes: Roller Rink and Good stuff are my favourite kelis songs. Loved Trick me which was produced by D.Austin too! Kelis was here is good but it doesn't have any outstanding track.

The two songs on the new album that I love are "Till The Wheels Fall Off" and "Like You". "Lil Star" featuring Cee-Lo isn't bad either. The rest is just okay.

"Like You" isn't on the European release? If I lived in Europe, I'd be angry. The opera vocal in that song is so nice. It takes it to another level--above the mediocre pap the comprises most of the album.

Did you go to the "In Search of" tour? I saw Kelis perform a brief set in 2002 as a special guest at the N*E*R*D concert with Spymob @ the House of Blues in Hollywood. Kenna was the opening act.

Yes, it was a HUGE STAR TRAK night. Packed house.
