The Return of "JT"

Wow for a second i had my cable to MTV because i was looking at Puffy's latest tragedy band. And the word "the RETURN OF JT" popped up, i thought maybe it was James Taylor or JT Taylor but no its Mr. "Just Typical" Justin Timeberlake. It amazes me how much ego goes into all of this, its only his SECOND ALBUM and people are impressed he picked up an instrument, wow talk about lowering your standards. Justin has been solo now for what 4 years, at 4 years when Elton John started out he had 5 studio albums (all good) a live album and tours, the same could be said of Stevie and others, I mean if U like Justin, hey thats cool, but dont put him on this throne that he hasnt even worked for. Call me when hes on his 6 or 7th cd and is writing and producing himself and playing an instrument and just holding it.

Said it before, but what the heck... Timberlake embodies evrything that sucks about music today. He's a horrendous 'artist' who produces horrendous 'songs'.

If I had the choice between purchasing one of his shitty albums or having my bollocks dipped in burning hot wax, and then forced through a rusty vice while every bone in my body is simultaneously broken, I'd choose the latter option. I wouldn't even have to think about it.

You were watching MTV.....who did you think JT was. The way I look at it is it's 2006 and there are so many ways to get into new music. Like this forum here put me on to Eric Roberson about a year ago. Point being if mainstream isn't your thing, block it out. I haven't listened to any significant amount of radio in about 10 years. I just think it's pointless to complain, I'd rather rejoice that we DON'T have to be held captive to the mainstream.

Side note: I don't mind JT at all but then again I'm not overexposed to any of his stuff. I just feel that he is definately the lesser of the evils when compared to the mindless rap music that is all the craze these days.

First, i wasnt "tuning" in to MTV, the channel happend to be on because i was making fun of Puffys latest girl group tragedy. Two, I dont tune into MTV for new music or the radio. The artists i listen will never get played on either, which is why they are artists. My reference to JT was the fact that they were plugging him like he was an "artist" when he only has one CD. I dont care who you are or how great U think U are, or what type of music you do, if U have one cd only YOU ARE NOT AN ARTIST!! Case Closed, you need at least 10 years of Diversity and Musical Growth to be an artist. ARTIST is a word that is used Way to easily on those not deserving, kind of like calling JLO a Diva, Another word that shouldnt be used at least till the singer is 40-50
