1. 2pac was dead before 1998 2. The last year of great hip-hop (with very little mistakes) was 1993. [Edited 7/25/06 21:45pm]

But the culture impact of 1998 hip-hop was no where as great as the 1988-93 era (since we had more styles of rap that were popular back then). Yeah, it's my opinion. But it's the true. 2. After the death of 2pac, we were running low on real rap artists that matter after 1994.

After the death of 2pac, we were running low on real rap artists that matter after 1994. I believed after Biggie's death hip hop wasn't the same and that is when the bling bling era began. Now I like the beginning of that era when artists like Juvernile, The Lox, Busta Rhymes, and other artists was doing their thing. That was 1998 and 1999. But before you know it is started becoming tiresome and nothing have change since 1999. And as far as rnb, it practually merged into hip hop. Also like you said its your opinion. I am going to continue to listen to hip hop and rnb from 1978-1998. case closed.
