Late Summer Albums

Are there any CDs you bring out when the grass starts to turn brown, the cicadias start to buzz, and the Back to School sales begin?

Celebrity Skin reminds me of High School. Late summer is all over this CD.
"In your endless summer nights, I'll be on the other side"
"I feel the horses come galloping/in the summer's end"

Cosmic Thing always gets pulled out when August rolls around.

Maybe because the album uses the arrival of fall as a metaphor for aging, I can't help but associate Automatic for the People with mid-August.
"September's coming soon..."

I'm curious to see if anyone else associates seasons with certain albums...

That has to be one of the most underrated albums ever! It's a pop...yes, POP masterpiece!

Really? Bjork always seems like a dead-of-winter artist to me.

nod When this came out, I was obsessed with it. Probably played it 3 or 4 times a day for about a month or two. Compared to this, I was so disappointed with 'America's Sweetheart'. Hopefully the new one will be better.

I hate that time of year. Prolly find Cinnie Cee pullin' out a bottle of cheap wine more than any certain album.

But since you mentioned it, yes, I also listen to Celebrity Skin around that time of year.
