Maybe it's just me, but why is all of the NEGATIVITY about Beyonce always brought up by a Janet fan? Isn't there room for BOTH of these ladies in the industry? For the record, I have never heard Beyonce say anything negative about ANY entertainer. [Edited 7/29/06 16:41pm] | |

Go to ANY of the major Beyoncé Child forums & NOBODY is as threatened as them. Not by the name Janet Jackson, her album, or her new single. You won't find any threads keeping track of what she's doing on Itunes, Hot 100, airplay charts, or comparing her stats to Bey's. Can't say the same for the others. Same goes for Christina Aguilera whose fans have been doing some major plotting too. Come to think about it, there are PLENTY of Janet/Xtina supporters on Bey's forum that are just as excited for their new albums too. Is everyone? No, of course not. But, this whole rivalry is most definitely one-sided for the most part. Just being apart of this board, it's very telling when all the anti-Beyoncé threads are UNsurprisingly created by the same Janet fan. For the record, I didn't decide to do a 180 & "hate" Janet. It was a gradual decline of interest that had been developing a few months prior to my departure. I did you all a favor leaving at that time before the new era started rolling around. I can say whatever the hell I want to say about her, none of you have to read it....it's no disrespect to Janet-Xone & its members now. No, no one speaks of old members, generally. As I said, I really respect you for not staying around and polluting the forum with hatred. It is true, then, that each fan base seems to think it's one-sided. We don't follow Beyonce's chart positions. And I have seen some of things you've posted about Janet on other forums, so I know how you really feel, too, and I'm sure many other Beyonce fans share those feelings. Some of the things I've read are terribly.....bitter. You're not threatened - you just don't like her, anymore. I mean you really don't like her.  That is a 180, whether you'd like to admit it or not, whether it was gradual or abrupt.
I don't create threads because I hate Beyonce - I simply find her great for a laugh these days, and it seems that others feel the same. I have always posted fun threads on the org - it has nothing to do with a particular artist, just whoever happens to be out right now.
