Now I'm off to see if YouTube has the clip of Jamal explaining how a modem works...

It was Jamal's cousin, Jasmine. She was always messing up.

YouTube has failed me. They didn't even have Lenni's video, "You Gotta Believe"! That is so not crisp.

I remember when Lenni was trying to write her raps, someone told her about how David Bowie writes down all the word phrases he wants to include in a song, then arranges them in order to help him write. biggrin

Then Lenni met Salt N Pepa, and her video was eventually premiered by Doctor Dre & Ed Lover.

You just know it was her wack raps that made Rob and the first Gaby leave the show. lol

Ghostwriter was a great show. A bunch of kids kicking some major-league adult butt by solving the crimes the police couldn't handle. Jamal's grandma CeCe totally rocked. Although Rob was my favorite character, his departure was not the shark jump. Although Max Frasier (Lenni's dad) as a young, hip jazz musician was totally cool, replacing him with an old, stuffy guy was not the shark jump. Although Casey was FAR more entertaining as a pest than as a team member, her joining the GW Team wasn't the jump. Replacing Gaby was the jump for 2 main reasons: (1) Why would you suddenly give a character whose lived in BROOKLYN ALL HER LIFE a Hispanic accent THAT SHE NEVER HAD BEFORE? (2) Choosing a MUCH younger actress messed up the relationships on the show. Instead of being Tina's best friend, like before, she was suddenly closer to Casey's age, plus, she was thrown in with Hector & Casey as NEW characters in the opening credits.
