My guess is nipplegate and the aftermath and the recent weight gain and weight loss JD has said she will be talking about the SuperBowl. The suits at MTV want her to talk about it on air if they are to play her videos again, and thus far she has refused. JD says if she's going to talk about it anywhere, it may as well be Oprah.

Hopefully that bitch Oprah will ask about Michael, to which Janet can take up for him. I know Oprah loves to get her digs in about MJ. So I hope she gets her tit in a ringer, cus I know Janet will rep her brother. This isn't LaToya here. So I think Oprah might have booked the wrong Jackson sister, if she wanted to go the route of bashing Mike.
Damn I can't stand Oprah. Yuck.

Damn I can't stand Oprah. Yuck. I'm actually hoping she won't ask about Michael, Janet has enough of a name for herself to talk with Oprah for an hour about her and her album. Interviewers always ask about Michael to her, and i'm sure she's sick of it. On top of that, i wish everyone including Janet would move beyond the Superbowl shit. We heard the same song and dance from both Janet and the public, it can't be more interesting discussing it with Oprah can it?

yo u crazy for that one! drives me nuts though when people interview Latoya or Janet and ask about Michael though. though they're probably better spoken than Michael, it's like - you ain't even interviewing him!!

Janet doesn't talk about the SuperBowl, in case you haven't noticed. This would be the first sit-down interview about it since the actual incident. She could be played on MTV - but they want her to do a 1-hour sit-down talk about the SuperBowl and she refused. I have a feeling that, until she talks about it, it will not be laid to rest. And Oprah is probably a more comfortable venue for that than some MTV dude. [Edited 7/22/06 9:14am]

But has she discussed it interviews (or, indeed, at all) over the past 2 years? No. If anyone's talking about the SuperBowl, it isn't Janet. [Edited 7/22/06 9:24am]

I'm confused.. I thought this was her official statement that she was expected to do: http://www.mtv.com/news/a...tory.jhtml Jackson is not reading from a statement in the message, but her words basically echo what she said in a release Monday (see "Janet Apologizes, Says Super Bowl Stunt Went Too Far"). "It was not my intention that it go as far as it did," she said in her written statement, referring to Justin Timberlake pulling off a piece of her costume. A spokesperson for Jackson told reporters that a lace undergarment was supposed to remain intact, covering the singer, but was accidentally removed along with the outer layer. EDIT: See there, it was a stunt was went dead wrong! Justin grab more than the leather exterior. And everyone in (white) media want to make it look like Janet did wrong all by herself!

People who believe it was a stunt probably have their minds set in stone. I already see the Superbowl thing as laid to rest, bringing it up on Oprah will just cause for more discussion, thus resurrecting the situation. At least that's what i think. We'll see.

Oprah always addresses the big topics even if they've already been discussed previous.
It's like it doesn't count unless Oprah herself has asked the question. Not as reflective as Larry King can get, but damn near.

Either way going on Oprah the week of the album's release is very smart. It should debut easily at #1 with 500k or over.
Janet has some very impressive debuts.

Janet has some very impressive debuts. 381k with no radio or MTV support. I was a little shocked at that one, honestly.
