Jimi Hendrix "Station Break" song + rights up for auction

hey

don't know if this has been reported yet but our local paper reported this
today (26-07-2006):

New York - fans of jimi hendrix can seize a great opportunity in november,
because at that time, during an auction in new york a never released song
by the legendary rock guitarist will be sold to the highest bidder.

The song is called "Station Break" and was recorded early in his carreer.

besides the original recordingtrack/tape from 1966, the new owner wil also
attain the rights to publish the song.

If Prince is not the highest bidder on this, he just needs to turn in his guitars!

This is supposedly an instrumental tune recorded in 1966 during his affiliation with Curtis Knight.

He actually plays on the whole tune and shares writing credits with RSVP Music Inc. president and producer (read: non-musician!) Jerry Simon.

Sounds like a case of one of the bad pieces of paper Jimi signed early on. disbelief

Yep. I have some of these albums that Jimi did while with Knight but u could never tell going by the great album covers that were used. U wouldn't see a pic of Curtis NO WHERE on there. But listening to these releases were damn near unbearable. It's like "Who's that playing guitar?!" Jimi's playing was night and day compared to what he came with on Are You Experienced?
