blokparty? (sp?)

ok..Im waiting on line in a little ice cream shop, and the kids who work behind the counters get to play their own compilation CDs. One song I heard while waiting on line sounded good, so I asked the girl who the band was and she answered "blokparty"..(maybe block party?)...does anyone know anything about this band?

They are a great band... Bloc Party.

The CD is very jagged rock in a Joy Division meets APB sorta way. They are a great live band as well.

I love their album, there's a song on there called the Price of Gas which sounds very new wave princeish.

Saw them live at Reading festival last year and they were FAB, I would defo get the album if I were you

In all honesty, i wasn't crazy about the remix album.

But there are quite a bunch of excellent b-sides that are scattered about their UK singles. If you want to go beyond the regular album, I would start w/ the b-sides personally.
