Does anybody else love this album? I only recently bought it because I thought it was going to be pop-country fluff, but it really, really isn't. Dusty Springfield's voice is amazing. It's pitch-perfect, breathy and strident throughout.

My favourite track is 'Breakfast In Bed'. It's vaguely smutty but delivered in such a way that nobody could ever consider it dirty. You can almost hear Dusty slyly winking whilst delivering the suggestive lyrics.

It's a great record to play on a lazy Sunday morning.

One of the best! The liner notes on the reissue are excellent.

It's not just Dusty's voice though, is it? The arrangements are amazing, like the occasional sitar riffs on 'In The Land Of Make-Believe'. It's just so restrained and perfect, when it could easily have been overdone. It's unusual to hear a female singer sing in falsetto too.

It crossed my mind that 'Breakfast In Bed' could be about oral sex, but maybe I'm reading it too literally.

You’ve been cryin’
Your face is a mess
Come in baby
You can dry the tears on my dress
She’s hurt you again
I can tell
Oh, I know that look so well

Don’t be shy
You’ve been here before
Pull your shoes off, lie down
And I will lock the door

And no-one has to know
You’ve come here again
Darling it will be
Like it’s always been before
Come on over here

Breakfast in bed
And a kiss or three
You don’t have to say you love me
Breakfast in bed
Nothing need be said
Ain’t no need

What’s your hurry?
Please don’t eat and run
You can let her wait, my darling
It’s been so long
Since I’ve had you here
You will come again
Darling it will be
Like it’s always been before
Hey child

Breakfast in bed
And a kiss or three
You don’t have to say you love me
Breakfast in bed
Nothing need be said

Breakfast in bed
And a kiss or three
You don’t have to say you love me
Breakfast in bed
Nothing need be said, yeah
You don’t have to say you love me
