But Blaque you said yourself that this thing seems to be a serious case of media spin.  They didn't give a reason for not doing the show so it may not be the "controversy". If it is about that though, I'll be the first one to call it bullshit  Okay, maybe not "bullshit" but definitely interesting - I'm wondering what her angle was w/ wanting them on the show anyway? In association w/ the movie? Was it a rap theme (unlikely, we would have heard about that)? Or just because? The timing at least is interesting...  I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Is it just me or was Andre NOT in the latest Outkast video?
Something's up with dude. I think he's just going through the motions as far as his career goes. I think he's already checked out of showbiz and is just phoning it in these days. The process of being a "star" can be very difficult for an artist that has misguided notions about the music biz. I know Outkast has been around for quite a while but they haven't been BIG until recently (past couple of years or so) and it may be something Andre wasn't prepared for and just doesn't want to deal with. Being "fake" every time you leave the house is harder on a person who isn't used to it. Going on Oprah means watching EVERY WORD you say. Maybe he wasn't ready to do that. He's not smooth like Prince & Lenny when it comes to that type of thing. Big Boi seems to want to get it while the gettin's good. I really think that's the best attitude to have for a group in their present situation. Those showbiz checks aren't guarenteed for life. | |
