Friday night I went to Trocaderos (the same place The Truth plays weekly) with a friend to see SOS Band play. Goood show. The best thing about it was the age diversity in the crowd. I wasn't expecting to see much in the wa of younger folks in the crowd, but I would say about 1/3 of the audience was younger than me, and knew the words to all their songs. They sang a good selection of their big hits:

The Finest
Just Be Good to Me
High Hopes
Tell Me If You Still Care
Just the Way You Like It
Weekend Girl (everybody was singing along to this )

Probably a few others I forgot. Unfortuntaly the opening act - a local artist in the almost sorta Sade vein - went on just about as long as the headliner. Jellybean Johnson was in the house taking in the show, and they took note of it a few times. Mary Davis was still lead on vocals. They did a little bit of Jesus talk (tryin' to make Tell Me If You Still Care about a higher power...I wasn't buyin' it ) and tried to speak youngster talk a few times, but overall it was a great show. Got me good and warmed up for Alexander O'Neal and Cherrelle next week.
