Anyone else watching Supernova? Have to see how Dilana follows up. And Lukas too. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

I thought she'd found her on a TV program somewhere. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Speaking of Supernova...
Band Sues CBS Show Over Supernova Name By SANDY COHEN AP Entertainment Writer LOS ANGELES - What happens when two Supernovas collide? Lawsuit. A Southern California rock band called Supernova has filed a complaint against Mark Burnett's CBS reality show "Rock Star: Supernova," saying it had the name first. The complaint, filed June 27 in U.S. District Court, claiming unfair competition and trademark infringement, seeks to bar the show and its participants from using the Supernova name. It is also asks for compensatory and punitive damages. "Our clients believe they have the superior right on the mark Supernova," the band's attorney, John Mizhir, told The Associated Press Tuesday, adding that the band "has a long-standing common-law trademark right to the mark." The group first performed under the name Supernova in 1991, according to the lawsuit. The band released several singles and three full-length albums under the name, the lawsuit says. The CBS show using the name first aired July 5. "Rock Star: Supernova" follows 15 contestants who aspire to become the lead singer of Supernova, a new rock band that includes former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted. The winner will tour with the band and appear on its album. According to the lawsuit, representatives for Mark Burnett Productions ("Survivor," "The Apprentice") filed seven U.S. trademark applications for the name Supernova and two for "Rock Star: Supernova." Gary Hecker, an attorney for Mark Burnett Productions, said the company has the legal right to the name. "The complaint is without merit," he said. Because the lawsuit has not yet been served, its defendants - Burnett, CBS, Lee, Clarke and Newsted - "do not have an obligation" to answer it, Hecker said. I watched the first episode. I found the level of talent very unimpressive and much below the level for the INXS one. There was no one who had all the three elements of a great frontperson; great voice, attractive looks, and stage presence and personality. I feel sorry for Tommy Lee and the rest of the boys in Supernova. I don't think they are given much to work with and I don't think this will work for them the way it did for INXS.

I didn't see the INXS show but I agree with you. There are only two that could possibly work but even they should be runners up. There are 4 I like, but not at all for the show.
You can almost feel that they are banking on conflict and bad attitude to make it all interesting. That's a bad sign. Another bad sign is that I can't remember who did what...and I really don't care. I'll still watch tonight, though. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

" "Yeah well, I think on the cover of that album she's like wearing a dress like yours and holding some flowers. " Classic! In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I saw a little bit of this last night for the first time. I hated the INXS one....I guess it's because I'm a fan of INXS and just didn't wanna see them fronted by one of those asses up there. As far as this one, Dilana seems to be the only interesting one from what I saw. Her Ring of Fire cover was pretty good. She does seem to be ripping Diamanda Galas off a little with that performance though looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I didn't think I would enjoy him at all but so far he's the most entertaining. So funny, when the other guys are checking out the girls...what they're moving and what they're not wearing, you get the feeling that he's checking for french seams and is more into the cut of things and how the fabrics fall. I won't comment on tonight's show because some may not have seen it yet, but the decision proves that mock-n-roll is about ratings too.
