Anybody got love for Bow Wow Wow and annabella lwin?? I broke out their Aphrodesiac cd yesterday. This is basically a greatest "hits".I think they have some cool new wave. Most of the band is made up of ex-Ant music makers. Most of the songs should not work,but they do in my warped mind. Maybe it's that I always found annabella to be sexy and her legs always remind me of my first real girlfriend(that girl was like ice cream on a hot day!!)The tunes have a really strange rhythm to them with unusual hooks and a unique guitar sound. I think the band was pretty big in England in the eighties and had a hit in "i want candy","baby oh no",and "hold me".I don't know.For something really different I dig 'em every now and again.

I Want Candy and Go Wild in the Country were the 2 hits in the UK.

Malcolm McLaren was responsible for BWW. No idea what Annabella is up to these days.

There is a new Bow Wow Wow compilation that just came out today, part of an ongoing series being done by VH1-Classic. The other new compilations are A Flock of Seagulls, Scandal, Loverboy, Eddie Money and Rick Springfield.

I'll probably get the Bow Wow Wow disc since i only have a handful of their songs on different compilations, etc, and of course these will be better sound quality since they are brand new.

There are lots of good tracks on it. More than I expected before I bought it.

i just saw them open for the Go~Go's a few weeks ago. they were incredible. Annabella was a fireball of energy on stage. and she has a really great voice live. the band kicked ass! "baby oh no",and "hold me" along with their other big hit were performed as well. the did about a 45min set in all. i hope to see them again.

I'm a pretty huge fan of Bow Wow Wow. They were truly one of a kind! Many great songs - I don't even consider 'Candy' to be among the best. Some of the better ones:

I like a few of their songs. Particularly "Mile High Club" for some reason. I haven't heard that song in ages. I have a comp CD of theirs, but it's not on there though.
