I didn't make this, and I am not a member of PETA, but I have made several comments about Beyonce and her fur lately. I do think it's pretty funny though. [Edited 7/19/06 11:46am] "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

This looks to me like something an individual did of their own volition. I can't imagine a well known organization like PETA endorsing something this stupid. If they are, then shame on them.

Do you think anyone at at PETA wears leather shoes or has a wallet not made of canvas and velcro?

hey i hate people wearing fur too but why are PETA only targeting Beyonce? What about all the countless hip hop artists who wear fur like 50 cent? She is an easy target and taking too much of the criticism. [Edited 7/19/06 15:06pm]

But didn't you just say above miguelbulcao a couple of posts back that YOU put the PETA part in here just to be funny? This isn't really a PETA ad people. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I know...PETA did not do the image! On the other post I was refering to my opinion on PETA! Personally I don't like the way they act! It's not the correct way to expose their message by sabotaging celebrities [Edited 7/19/06 15:48pm]

From my good friends @ the Ill Community boards:
Dear Peta,
Most of you guys really have a kind heart and want the best for animals, and that is well taken. But, here is a suggestion, if you want to PROTECT, SAVE, and HELP them why dont you do the following. 1. Next time you see a bird falling out of a tree, run and dive to it's rescue. 2. When a car is about to hit a duck crossing the road, jump out and sacrifice your life. 3. Visit animal shelters 4. Buy up all the stray dogs at the pound before they get put to sleep 5. Leave people the hell alone and live your life b/c your petitions are usually not done in a tasteful manner, therefore your getting no respect. 6. Have you seen Camron's fur collection? Sincerely, Layla~ [Edited 7/19/06 21:03pm]

Who knows if they did this or not. But so far as endorsing extremist behavior, you must not really be familiar with some of PETA's past exploits with celebrities and high ranking members of the fashion industry. They've done everything from picketing celebrity events painted in (faked) smeared blood holding signs of brutally massacred animals, to throwing a dead raccoon on Anna Wintour's (chief editor of American Vogue) plate while she was dining at the Four Seasons in New York. Oh, and one of their favorite things to do, is to deliver packages to fashion magazines under the guise of being wardrobe samples, with the contents actually being the maggot infested guts of animals they say were slaughtered for fur to be used in clothing I understand their passion and devotion for their cause, but sadly their message gets lost in their extremist and agressive behavior.

PETA did not due the image! I'm not surpised. They're much more "creative" in their attacks on celebrities and public figures. That little poster looks pretty sub-par in comparison to what they can usually do.
