That would either be the best moment in tv history or the biggest celebrity comedown ever. The other celebrities would be too scared to nominate.

You know, all of this talk about celeb books sounds like they could be really fun reads. There's a second hand English bookshop about a mile from my flat and they have a whole SLEW of used tell-alls in hardback for really cheap! I've seen Miss Ross and a trillion Madonna ones in stock, and I'm actually tempted to ride my bike on over there today and snatch 'em up !

There`s a lot of celebrity books i`d like to read, especially Gladys Knight`s autobiography, where she discusses her gambling addiction and her years at motown. AND, although it`s not full of trash, Natalie Coles`s "Angel on my shoulder" btw, could anyone recommend me a decent Marvin Gaye biography?

This is the ULTIMATE Marvin Gaye bio IMO(Its an unfinished autobio too which makes it a plus).
David Ritz goes REAL deep about Marvin's demons, personality, relationships and most importantly, his music. [Edited 7/18/06 9:48am]

She's very honest about her drug problems and she reveals alot of interesting things.I couldn't put this book down!

Oh. I've just remembered another bit from the book...
She walks into her dressing-room, after a show one night, to find a teenage Michael Jackson putting her make-up on. After screaming at him to stop, because it's freaking her out, Michael replies, "But, Diana... It's magic".

It is Friday - my Org day - so I might as well tell it. Back in Uni - we're talking 10/11 years ago - I was absolutely besotted with this guy (one of my best friends ) but I still wasn't out. Or admitting to myself that I'm gay. I was also having a fling with this girl but let's just say it wasn't a sexual match made in heaven. I'd go out for the night with my mates, she'd go out with her mates and - come closing time - we'd both meet up and she'd come back to mine. It wasn't exactly a big romance. Anyway, I was falling more and more for this guy and - meanwhile - this girl was coming back to my place every so often making various sexual demands. We still hadn't actually slept together but it was a bit of a confusing period. Finally, one night, she asked "When are you going to me?" (charming!) so we tried, and failed, to do the deed. She must've been thrilled. I shrugged it off but still didn't accept what the issue was. I think I blamed it on the drink. Anyway, a few days later, I went to bed and I had this dream where I was onstage at the Royal Albert Hall - as Diana Ross. I didn't just look like her, I was her. I sang some songs, then went offstage to a rapturous applause. It was a great performance. I then came back onstage for the encore dressed in the red 'Chain Recation' fishtail dress but - this time - it was me, as Diana, in the fishtail dress. My face, her body. I strutted my stuff, got another applause, the crowd threw flowers and that was that. I woke up. The next morning I sheepishly started putting a few pieces together: "Hmmm, do I fancy this guy? (Gulp) Yes. Would I sleep with this guy? (Gulp) Yes. Do I fancy this girl? (gulp) Not really. Am I having dreams that I am Diana Ross? (Gulp) Yes. Am I gay? (Gulp) Yes". And I finally admitted to myself that I was gay. A bit of a weird way of going about it but Diana showed me the way. [Edited 7/21/06 1:33am]

Well, considering MJ use to live with Diana when he was first signed to Motown and spent a lot of time with her, obviously in awe with her, it is not surprising she had a lasting impression on him.
If he had gone to live with Stevie or Marvin probably he would have ended trying to be exactly like them...

From wikipedia:
"The unrehearsed Supremes reunion between Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Cindy Birdsong was cut short when Ross, frustrated by the fact that Wilson and Birdsong were taking the same steps foreward as her instead of staying in the back, turned around and pushed Wilson towards the back of the stage. In a few moments, Motown labelmates such as Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, and others filled the stage for an impromptu finale. Wilson invited Berry Gordy to come down from the balcony and join everyone onstage, but Ross snatched her microphone away and hissed "it's been taken care off" before inviting Gordy down herself." What a charming lady

What a charming lady I don't feel sorry for Mary 'Can't-See-Pass-Diane's-Pussy' Wilson. You like being on your knees? Then stay down there, bitch She should've taken a stand and put that bitch in a str8 line,,,but she didn't. I see the SAME script being done to Kelly Rowland

God, that was one of the most intense, crazy periods of my life. Wouldn't want to go through that again. I think it's safe to say he worked it out, though. If he didn't, I'd be very surprised.
