Michael Jackson: Unauthorized

Anyone ever read this book? It paints a relatively negative image of Michael, making him look like a self-loathing, ruthless pedophile. Alot of the stuff was a bit unbelievable at the time, but given last year's trial...well, it just could be true. Definitely an eye opener.

Here some revelations about some of his celeb interactions:

Prince: Michael was very jealous of Prince after he won the Oscar for Purple Rain. Apparantly both were very fixated on each other. It also says how supposedly Prince went to Michaels for dinner and tried to cast a spell on him.

Madonna: Michaels jealousy moved to Madonna, whom he disliked and feared that she would take over his spot as the biggest star of the 1980s. He also never felt that she was very talented However, he tried using her for career purposes, at one point attempting a duet of what would eventually be 'In The Closet'. Madonna thought the song was 'a piece of shit', and they feuded for years onward.

Mick Jagger: Just says how he was fascinated by his androgyny and went on to collaborate. However, after doing 'State of Shock', he felt that Mick was a weak singer.

Paul McCartney: Same stuff everyone's heard

Elvis Presley: Michael always hated that Elvis was considered 'The King', feeling that he himself deserved that title.

I heard that Taraborrelli believes he's innocent. confuse There's also an updated version of the book that goes up to the year 2000-something. Is that the one you read or is it the one that just went up to some point in the '90s?

lol Hahn (in "Possessed") relates a similar tale about her blunt assessment of the screenplay for Graffiti Bridge, i.e. she basically told Prince it was crap and refused to be involved!

lol this is only partly true.

The two of them did not "feud for years" after the planned duet was cancelled. In fact,Madonna sent MJ some roses when he embarked on his 'History' tour in 1996 and he attended the premiere of her movie 'Evita' later that same year. They seem to have a mutaual respect for each other.

Since Madonna never ended up being an acclaimed actress as she had wished, it would have been fun to see her in Graffiti Bridge lol

Madonna didn't say she thought the song was shit. She said she thought it wasn't dirty or sexual enough. She tried sexing up the lyrics, but Michael said he prefered his lyrics over hers so she backed out of the project.

I've seen the original script of 'Graffiti Bridge' (the version that Prince presented to Madonna in September 1987) and it is unbelievably bad disbelief apparently,Cat and Madonna's characters would have been fighting over Prince. This film would have been worse than any other movie that Madonna appeared in (with the possible exception of "A Certain Sacrifice",lol).

Yes,Madonna wanted the song to be more "controversial" and provocative. She came up with an interesting idea for the video: Michael would be in drag and so would she! lol Needless to say,he chickened out

The funny thing is, Madonna's voice is still used in "In The Closet"....she plays the part of the "mystery girl.

No, it is Madonna, I have also have the demo version, in which Michael is heard saying, "madonna will sing this part"...he then goes on to sing her part.

IT'S...

Princess Stephanie in the final version.

MJ can be heard calling Slash's name in the awful song Privacy but Slash did not get round to recording his guitar solo.

Yea the one Im talking about was written by Christopher Anderson. I read the Tamborrelli though(not the updated one however, I read the one that went up to 1990). I think that one gave a fair view of both sides, whereas Andersons was more on the negative side.

I think if you're an MJ fan, u REALLY wont like 'Unauthorized'.

I'm an MJ fan and I liked it. It was nice to learn about his 'though' side. The Jordy Chandler part was very weird to read though, and I don't know what to believe about it.
