I've always loved Taylor and I think my favorite song by her is the underestimated "I'll Be Your Shelter", with all it's soul and passion. It's among her big top tens but I think it gets kind of lost and people either think of her more for the huge ballad "Love Will Lead You Back" or the club smash "Tell It To My Heart".

and i agree. "I'll Be Your Shelter" is over looked. "Send Me A Lover" is probably my favourite track by her.

Over on Taylor's website, the 2 moderators are teasing people saying that there is some major news (that they can't tell us yet) that will make everyone happy.

They are saying it's HUGE news, The only thing it could be is Taylor finally getting a record deal, and releasing a new album. Maybe a major record deal.

Her last album came out in 1998 on an independent label.

For those who don't know, Taylor got re-signed to Arista/BMG a few years ago, but lost her record deal when the Sony/BMG merger happened.

I know that affected Tears For Fears also.

Taylor is playing BB King's this month on the 18th. This is in New York City.

Last night was awesome. My two friends that I took along were blown away by her voice, they were not aware of how great of a singer she really is.

She did all her hits including: Tell it to my heart, Prove your love, Can't Get Enough, I'll be your shelter, etc.

Other than the hits, she did a few covers and a brand new song.

The brand new song was called "Crash". Very catchy pop rock kind of a song, it reminded me of Tina Turner perhaps. She said it was from her new album!

Her covers included "Maybe I'm Amazed" (Paul McCartney & Wings), "You Got The Love" (Rufus & Chaka Khan) and "Fool To Cry" ( The Rolling Stones).

The background singers and her keyboardist got a chance to shine as well.

They can really sing!

I met Taylor's mother! I also met Wendy the Snapple lady! I kid you not. LOL.

Unfortunately I did not get to greet Taylor this time, it was pretty packed in there.

Her encores were "Tell it to my heart", "You Got The Love" and "Love Will Lead You Back".

She was selling merchandise including the new DVD (the one from Canada), not the major one that's being recorded on 8/1 obviously. It was packed in there, so I was ready to leave, I didn't buy it.

I think I'm going to wait for the other DVD. The one from Canada did not have any of these newer songs on it. It's her older playlist.

Other than getting caught in the rain last night on the way home, it was a great night.
