This issue with Oprah has been on my mind for a while now. While I agree that she does not have to like hip-hop. I think that she does have to respect it and give it it's proper air time. I mean, she has Bon Jovi, Celine Dion and a host of other acts from different genres. Hip hop, while I do not like all of it, is still a vital part of our history and it should be treated as such. To some people, it is their current events. It is the only music that has changes with the times. Aside for country music, it is the only form of music that still keeps its basic foundation in tact. You really cannot say that about rock or jazz. These genres have changed dramatically over the years. I would like to see her do a show on the roots of hip-hop, without editing out any parts of the conversation, like she did when she first had luda on....(Please do not tell me it was edited for the sake of time, that's BS). While I do respect her, as a strong African-American woman...I do think that she is out of touch, when it comes to certain issues. He said it was the most surreal feeling to get out of shelling and mortar attack one minute, then 10 minutes later find yourself in whatever cafe was open, whether Iraqi or soldier stronghold, and MILKSHAKE would be playing. Everywhere. It was like the only western song they had, and it would just be playing loud as hell to keep everybody distracted from the sounds of gunrounds and explosions ...I don't know why, but that just really tripped me out in the head for some reason....

No. This, of course, had to be explained to me. It's metaphoric in regards to how your face looks when you suck a milshake through a straw. Same as sucking dick. She's saying her dick sucking is better than the others and she's teach them how to suck a dick right, but with a price "warm it up" = warming up the dick (with your mouth)

Can't argue with that kid's logic. It's hard to flame rappers who rap about sex, when most of the musicians we listen to sing about it. Prince, Rick James, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, etc., etc. They all do it. I don't have a problem with the sex part when it comes to rap. I have a problem with it being so damn slow, stripped down, and boring. If it was funky and danceable, I wouldn't care how nasty they got. In fact, the nastier the better.
