PrintableIts good to see SOMEONE get to release that many singles from a record in this day. Its almost unheard of nowadays.
People are way too opinionated. These girls are titilation. You can't expect Ani DiFranco lyrics and India Arie conciousness from them. That's not what they do. They are the essence of fluff. Take it for what it is or press on. [Edited 7/15/06 20:58pm] | |

And a few weeks ago PCD did something i think only Phil Collins has done, they played a night concert in Ireland then flew to NYC and did the GMA concert in the Park and then flew back to England to play a show that night to date the record is closing in on 2 million in US sales, and 5+ million worldwide, i know everyone loves numbers so i thought id post this. It should also be noted that usually songs now have high debuts, with each PCD single its been a struggle, all of them have debuted in the 80-90 range and climbed slowly, just like the old days

Things like "Kings of RB" and "Breaking Boundaries because no else is", That is my main reason to hate on a Justin or Pharrell, I find at least a little diversity in PCD, and also there embrace of 80's music, not sampling. Im not calling them Stevie Wonder or anything like that, but at least they dont claim to break boundaries or claim to be the new_____ (fill in the blank). My like of them is they just shut up and let me decide and not tell me who they think they are. Plus Nicole is a friend and a MILLION times better singer than Christina and Beyonce put together, mainly because she knows how to "sing properly" Oh by the way someone asked what the singles were 1. SWAY 2. DONT CHA 3. STICKWITU 4. BEEP 5. BUTTONS 6. (will be) WAIT A MINUTE or Possibly their cover of HOT STUFF, could be a Double a side. Vids are already shot, a remix is out for HOT STUFF in the UK only here as an import. They've won me over.
HATED Dontcha with a passion but I've succumbed. Stickwitu and Beep have been MASSIVE radio and video hits and I actually like that Buttons song. The video is hot, and no doubt that your friend has talent. Visually the work as a group and I don't know if she'd be as interesting by herself. | |

If it were up to record companies and they could swing it, they would just release one single to sell the album! When there are a lot of singles, it really helps the consumer get a decent idea of what the album is like and lets say you didn't like the first single but loved the ones after...Why don't record companies get this? | |

I was at school and very bus when "Don'tcha" and "Stickwithu" came out (I remember hearing them on the radio on my drive there) but I only remember "Sway" being in that Jennifer Lopez-Richard Gere dance movie...I don't remember it as a single and it didn't chart, did it? | |

Sway didnt have a commercial single but was released to radio and the video went to and got play on VH1.
