There's a new Decemberists album slotted for October that I'll be sure to check out.
Others: Yo La Tengo - I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass (early contender for title of the year, maybe?) Bob Dylan - Modern Times - not that long ago a new Dylan LP was something to dread, but his last two releases rank among the finest music he's ever recorded, so this album may well be very, very good. I know that Five for Fighting is a highly commercialized man now, doin the whole songs in advertisemens/commercials...the popular top 40 thing.. but there really are some good songs on John's albums.. i think he is a good singer songwriter.. i dig some of that lifestyle music.. and besides.. im helpless for the piano..
