Are the Bee Gees underrated?

I'm listening now to the SNF soundtrack...these guys are incredible!
Some of the production of their tracks is also incredible...
Was Arif M. that produced them?

Do they have the recognition they deserve?

Their songwriting input is massive...really massive!

But I guess Barry Gibb is only famous because he worked with the one:

She's a very good singer. A free of melisma! lol

I really don't think the Bee Gees are underrated or underappreciated. Anyone know minds their Ps and Qs about music knows that they've made an indelible impression on pop music. The current generation of young music listeners may not know as much about them, but that would be said about almost anyone who's been around as long as they have. Who cares that they didn't make some list? They're great songwriters, producers and performers.

Just underrated by folk who "think" they know music. The critics.
They're certainly not underappreciated by the record buying public. 200 million sales attest to that.
But the critics? Guess the Bee Gees were never "rock" enough. rolleyes

He produced Mr. Natural and Main Course. Co-produced E.S.P. and later produced a couple of tracks on the Still Waters album.

Maybe the critics can put some more bullshit Nirvana in the Top 10 songs of all time. Now that is SOME bullshit. And I know they are on this list of top songwriters, too. Some crazy people out there.

Well i do think they are underrated and overlooked. They are not recognized for their work in the 70's, many people dimiss it as "Disco" which it really wasnt, and feel it has no lasting appeal. They also are very underrated for their sixties and very early seventies morning, just for "New York Mining Disaster" they should be in the top 5 songwriters of all time, i do rank them in the same league as Lennon and McCartney, even though Lennon/McCartney almost never wrote together.

Nothing, man. Just straight re-issues.

The first remasters are due before the end of the year.
I've heard that they're being released in chronological order so it may be next year before your faves are issued.

Still, I've heard lots of conflicting reports so plans could change yet.

But they're not remasters.

Why not wait until the versions with bonus material are issued?

At this point,I don't care anymore.Besides,we don't even know for sure if we will ever get those expanded remasters with bonus tracks.I'm tired of waiting,I need these albums on CD now.I have them on vinyl, but I need the CDs.
