As a dancer myself, there are certain moves that are popular during a certain time period that have to do with the style of the time. Many artists will use the same moves, but it's not one copying the other. Choreographers learn and teach the latest moves. If you see one artist in a video do a move first, it doesn't mean they made it up or that anyone else doing it after is copying them The Dangerous tour, huh? Well, I remember the Victory tour and the Bad tour, so that should give you some insight to my age which isn't important to this conversation. Most Michael fans practically nurse on his breast anyway... MJ was at his best with his brothers. I know peeps who have followed MJ from the days of the J5 to present; ask them for their fav MJ concert they will say "Trimph" concert. Personally, I believe MJ performances became boring and naff, when he started to grab his crotch every 5 seconds That started happening after Bad. One thing that pissed me off was when he stopped touring the U.S. altogether. The last two concerts I saw of his were from Europe and it was boring as hell, bad sound, too much attention on the audience, too much screaming, no change in lighting or set design. He had the nerve to put on a red jacket and werewolf headgear for thriller and call it a costume change and let's not talk about his half ass, incoherent live singing. All he has to do is stand there and people will go berserk. I used to love him in the 80's though

No flashy lights, no costume changes, no hype and a much, smaller audience. It was just MJ with his brothers and a band, fabulous, live singing and so much energy, you will get exhausted just looking at the performances, ok, he was only 17.. But if I could go back in time, I would rather see that concert than any concert post Victory, and this includes the "Bad" concert which I actually went to see live.. It's only the fans that became fans in the last 15 yrs or so that don't mind all the crotch grabbing, hype and miming. I think for those who remember MJ back in the very early days prefer MJ when there was a little more substance.

You do realize you are talking about the period of 1986-1990 when their albums: Control/Bad/Rythm Nation were coinciding with each other, therefore things would be similiar in style. Trust me, Michael did not make up the Captain EO concept. He was approached by Disney for that. If you knew the whole concept and reason behind Rythm Nation, you would know it had nothing to do with Captain EO The only thing similiar between Smooth Criminal and Alright is that they are wearing suits and hats. They were in different decades and the videos were completely different in style and contrast. Michael's had a more dark, gangster theme and Janet's was a happy, zoot suit theme. They're not even comparable "Copy" is not appropriate for what you're saying
