So let's do the math. Both Trent Reznor and Prince are pretty talented and even funky. They both write, produce, sing and play multi instruments. Who is the bigger genuis?

I think i'll go with Prince but Trent is pretty darn talented. Oh, they also both have seriously big fan bases.

prince is a more versatile songwriter. i feel like trent's been making the same album over and over since the downward spiral.

however, i think trent's soundtrack compilations are downright INSPIRED - "natural born killers" and "lost highway" are killer soundtracks (pardon the pun). prince couldn't do better, that's for DAMN sure.

why is that? maybe if trent wrote for other artists or had some proteges we would see a wider range in his work. hmmm...now that i think of it, marilyn manson could be considered a protege and i absolutely love him! in fact more so than Nin. If you take away the image and controversy there's some bloody good music there.
