thats a major migraine right there , does their one entry actually confirm by the way that Motorhead only ever made one decent track ?

If there had to be one it should have been Live Wire.

That raised my eyebrow more than anything else.

Kudos to them on placing Stargazer at 12, though. That's not an obvious selection, but I'd say it's a good one.

How on earth did Yngwie's I am a Viking make it on here? I can't even type those words with a straight face, and it's a crap song, even by Yngwie's standards.

lol

the list is very purest with a narrow view of metal, other than Motorhead and Soundgarden , there should be a wider umbrella of what's considered metal...and though I'm not a huge fan of the 90's...Where's Rage Against The Machine, Sepultura, Machine Head, NIN ? Bands that took the genre in different places instead of giving nods to retreads like Iced Earth.

I always think of ACDC as more of a hard rock band. Although it's odd that Van Halen would be on there, and not ACDC. hmm

But like you said, this list seems pretty limited.

Highway To Hell
Back In Black

That's 2 AC/DC songs that should be on this list.

I would have Run To The Hills at number one. Im not a big maiden fan but that song is far better than Hallowed By Thy Name which is a really surprising choice, so at least its different!

Im a big big Motorhead fan and ask anyone who is a fan what their best track is and they'll tell you Overkill. They still make great records.

Bands off this list you mean?

Black Sabbath
Motorhead
Van Halen
Soundgarden
Anthrax
Guns N Roses
Megadeth
Slayer
KISS

This is not to say that I even have albums of all these bands. Well, not anymore at least. A lot of it was back when i was in Jr. High and I haven't heard it in ages. And some of the bands listed I haven't even heard at all, so I'm not really even qualified to post on this thread anyway. lol

But I do still listen to Metallica, Van Halen, ACDC, Soundgarden, and sometimes Guns N Roses. I listen to the first three I just listed a LOT. nod

god damn this is by far the worst list ive seen so far!
Why isnt Disturbed on there? yet bands like KISS and Motley Crue make it on there, i hardly call them metal! They are GLAM ROCK! and that is all they are, sure KISS concerts can get a bit satanic but their music isnt at all!
To be quite honest these lists should never exist in the 1st place as no1 can ever make a definative list as there is constantly new music being made, and basically it all comes down 2 opinion, and hardly anybody has the same opinions let alone a who list!
