Rainbow - that was another band my friend was really into. I gotta give my friend credit, the only reason I know all these bands' names is because of him.

You guys are making me think I shoulda listened to his Yngwie cassettes when I had the chance. hmmm

add edit

I love Rainbow heart , the Dio years though

rising is an awesome album.
as for joe lynn turner; yeesh to that guy. I can't imagine a more faceless, generic, nondescript vocalist. blandness personified.

I almost missed this.

He's actually saying released instead of unleashed.
Sounds like he's speaking in tongues for a bit there.
There's even a bit of modified MJ-speak, "Caaamon, CAAAAAMON!"

See ya in Tokyo bitch.

What a toon. cool

Yeah, I know all about his "epiphany" on exactly 9/17/1970 after seeing a Jimi Hendrix special on TV.

And the heavily touted PR/BS...

The day Jimi Hendrix died, the guitar-playing Yngwie was born.

...rolleyes

Hey, no doubt that guy's got skills.
It's just that outside of the orchestral stuff, his material just doesn't touch me. shrug

I just listened to it twice again, but I think if we had some video to go with it, we'd see that he was trying out some karate moves on the woman. nod

The visual I have is of a rather portly longhaired Rocker-type stuffed into leather pants a few sizes to small, ranting and raving around the plane.

Not a good visual at all. confused

falloff at this whole thread. The youtube links left me laughing, the plane trip to Japan that Minne posted left me laughing so hard I coughed, lol

"release the fookin fury" falloff it's not that he's been typecast as an ego maniac, he is a fookin ego maniac and disrespectful to women disbelief

I agree about the orchestral stuff being decent and I loved Rising Force but I did see video footage of him destroying Voodo Child disbelief

I just gotta find those cheescake recipes falloff

Thx for the laughs t/A
