David Sanborn -- Inside

Perfect for late-night melancholy and brooding. The music complements the dark, black-and-white cover. Replete with a Sting-sung cover of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine," this gem is currently spinning on a certain bald man's cd player.

Nighty-night

Kool Album!!

I remember seeing Sting, Sanborn, Fareed Haque, and Bill Frisell perform Ain't No Sunshine on NBC's Night Music years ago, so I was glad that Sanborn decided to include that performance (with the same arrangement) on this CD!! Sanborn also included D'angelo and Eric Clapton on "Use Me Up"(They also performed this on TV on Sanborn's "After New Years" special in '99).... I also love Cassandra Wilson on "Daydreaming", and the Meshell Ndegeocello interlude that they do, too!

Marcus Miller, of course is on hand for his playing, production and writing Skills....and Sanborn is in fine form here...although he's admitted in the past that he's primarily an R&B horn -player, Sanborn's definitely been woodsheding and honing his chops over the last couple of decades, and he sounds better than ever now...
