Anybody Hip to WaxPoetics Magazine?

...

Anybody else out there checkin out Waxpoetics Magazine?

an interesting magazine that covers everyone from Roy Ayers to Kool Herc and Afrika Bambaataa, from Joe Zawinul to J-Dilla, from Hugh Masekela to Hank Shocklee, Waxpoetics covers Jazz/Hip-Hop/Soul/Latin/Funk, etc...It seems to be designed to cover all aspects of Record collecting, Music history, and Hip-Hop production. It's a good-sized magazine, but it Is a bit pricey(usually about 6 or 7 bucks), and the back issues are getting harder to come by....But what I love most is the fact that they cover artists and producers that usually never get mentioned in music publications. (I really enjoyed their interview with the Mizell Brothers, who talked about everyone from Michael Jackson, to Donald Byrd to Gary Bartz, to L.T.D. and A Taste of Honey...their recent Bill Withers issue was great , too!

...Now, if they'd just do an issue on Charles Stepney!!!

Yeah, I thought about You when they did a 2-part David Axelrod piece ...that was wild, hard interview, but he covered everyone from Lou Rawls to David McCallum....

I'll have to send that one along....

cool

I just went to their website and a 1 year subscription is not unreasonable.
As far as back issues, all are available except the 1st 2 which are sold out.
