"Somebody For Me" VS. "Treat 'Em Like They Want To Be Treated"

Heavy D. with Al B. Sure dancing jig Father MC with Jodeci dancing jig (actually it's K-Ci and JoJo, but they let the other 2 be in the video also) evillol
I used to dance like crazy to both of these songs at house parties and band functions. Check out P Diddy and Redhead Kingpin in Father's video.

shocked

As much as I love the Big Fella, I gotta go with Father and Jodeci, because I still play this track every other week. The bassline, synths, and Jodeci's vocals are tres funky.

Oh, and the raps of both songs are...OK.
Uptown records doing it right with New Rap Swing

Diddy's dancing. dancing jig Anyway, Uptown records was holding it down for a while. Too bad it all went belly up. Mary J. Blige and K-Ci & JoJo are the only ones still putting out music. Teddy's still producing, but not releasing the hot jams that made him the most sought after producer of the late 80 and early 90s. Even Diddy's music and "production" have been on hiatus, which is a good thing.

"lisa baby" is my fav father mc song (has to be the video/12"mix though). That also had Jodeci on backing vox

"lisa, dont u waaaaant my looooove.
lisa, dont u neeeeed my looooove"

I love heavy's song too. "treat 'em" is good, but not as god as heavy's song.

Father's first 3 singles are all excellent ("Treat 'Em..." "I'll Do 4 U" and "Lisa Baby"), but I also love the "Lisa Baby" remix the most.

"Somebody for Me" has always been one of my songs! smile
