Did you purchase the Fleetwood Mac remaster? And I was very tempted to post: Oh No It's U Again Ooops, I just did "Arf! Arf! You look good to may! Arf! Arf!" Yes, I bought the remaster. Going to listen to it shortly. Outside of the greatest hits set, it's the only FM in my collection.

I didn't know there were any Cracker fans on this site. I just picked this up the other day and haven't listened yet. I've probably seen them play about 15 times. They're just as good every time. |

I'd see them again. [Edited 7/9/06 19:49pm] there's a dvd called "get on with it: the best of cracker" that has several music videos, as well as a show from the kerosene hat tour... worth picking up... "golden age" is an overlooked album... a lot of critics didn't like it too much... they said it was either too dark or too rootsy... i enjoy it... "i hate my generation," "sweet thistle pie," "i'm a little rocket ship" and so many others... and my favorite "big dipper"... this was the cd that stayed in constant rotation during my depressing summer of 97... lol... and i got it autographed by david and johnny, so... but all in all, "golden age" may be my favorite... but most people go for "kerosene" and the self-titled... this new one is easily as good as either of those... also worth seeking out is the collaboration they did with leftover salmon called "oh cracker, where art thou?"... All of their CDs through Garage D'Or I have autographed. Golden Age is indeed overlooked and one of my favorites, but if I'm being honest, I like them all in their own little ways. I'm excited to give Greenland a spin. |

I've met them both several times and I think Hickman is a sweetheart. In fact, I've talked more to him than probably any 'rock star' on the planet. He's hugged me, been very gracious, and is SO easy to talk to, etc. Lowry's a little more of a tough nut to crack. I was honestly shaking the first time I talked to him and he seemed like he couldn't be bothered. Same thing for a Camper Van signing I went to. ah well. He's still a lyrical genius. I'll totally let you know what I think of Greenland. I'll be putting it in tonight. |

I had a couple of Dionne's two-fer album releases before I bought these. The problem with those was that they weren't the complete albums. Though the songs that were left off were on other compilations, it was still a bit of a drag. I don't get the whole rights/clearance issues. Just about all her 60s/early 70s output is available for listening and download on Yahoo but not for purchase on the shiny discs. One of many reasons I love th Yahoo Music Engine.
