Album Covers Inspired by Album Covers I came across the first one in another thread. It made me think of some other famous "copies" or homages to famous images. In come cases--the Clash, for example, I would argue that the copy is more famous than the original.
Any others? My Legacy

Most of 100 MPH's were new to me, but the Joe Jackson one was a surprise. Also, Sesame Street Fever really took me back! My Legacy

it's quite possible that every beatle album cover has been covered, or inspired from..
Even this.. The "White Album" was not really called "the white album" by the beatles.. it was simply "The Beatles Album".. but was referred to as "white album" due to the color of the blank front cover... Prince many years later releases a simular type of idea.. simply calling it "The black album" with a black front.. even simple things like that... [Edited 7/5/06 13:58pm] | |

Funny, even Paul calls it "The White Album," but I recently read in private he calls it "The Tension Album." Weezer did the Green Album Paul borrowed Abbey Road for Paul is Live (really goofy cover) My Legacy

WOW 100MPH! Damn. Very good eye. I'm usually very up on this type of thang, but I am very blown away by the Joe Jackson bite. I have Joe's album and I never would have connected that. Hey, if u could post the two album covers that I ran a thread on about a year and a half ago on KISS's "Destroyer" album and Rick James's "Bustin' Out of L Seven" album. Actually, throw in KISS's "Love Gun" cover as well. Those two KISS covers is Rick's "Bustin Out" in one. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
