Tone'x-God is Love Not to long ago I started a thread about great gospel singers and someone suggested that I take a listen to Tonex's music. I'd just like to say thank you to whom ever that person was because since then I have taken a listen to his music and it is great!!!

I discovered Tonex years ago. His "Personal Jesus" was fading in and out on my radio, and I kept hearing enough snippets to know he was the closest thing to Prince in gospel music that I'd heard.
Around that time, he was embroiled in a Prince-like war with his label, and the disc was nearly impossible to find. "Pronounced Toe-Nay" was released about a year or so later. He deals with sex, drugs, ego, power, money, cultural and religious tolerance -- he's one of the most relevant and industry-unsupported artists (of any genre) on the scene today. As such, he's in a tremendous position to minister to folks. . [Edited 7/5/06 13:21pm]

And yes, Personal Jesus was his debiut single off his debut album "Pronounced Toe-nay" - he's got jazz, neo soul, r&b, and traditional gospel on that debut and it's broken down in sections just like that. You HAVE to get that. Living to die and I'll die to live again - 360 degrees - comprehend
